What Makes Bogue Farms Special?

The transplants and seedlings we select are the best we can find with a good root structure. They are planted in well-prepared soils with the correct ph and balance of N-K-P using organic matter almost exclusively. Careful attention is given to growing conditions, shearing, and treating for pest and diseases. 

When our trees reach maturity we make selections based on our customer's expectations before digging. Trees are mechanically tied to avoid limb breakage or twisted branches. Our 25 degree spades are custom fitted to ensure a proper sized, tight root ball. We top dress the tree with a slow release fertilizer to insure vigor and survivability in transplanting.

Trees are loaded within 24 hours from digging in our fields on to flatbeds or commercial trailers. We make sure they are tarped securely, and sent directly to our customers. The trees you receive are fresh dug, properly handled, and pleasing to your customers.

We have shipped trees of all shapes and sizes all over the country. Our product line extends from the common to the exotic. We specialize in the hard to find sizes and species. We offer a size range from bare root seedlings to a ninety inch root ball and everything in between! Trees are used in many applications and our grades range from windbreaks, screenings, and ornamental or specimen trees. We adhere to customer's request for availability, budgets, and other special needs in a timely manner.

Our knowledge of plant soils, landscape design, and overall enthusiasm of trees have led us to speaking at schools, professional organizations, such as the Ohio Christmas Tree Association and the Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association, golf course superintendents, park officials, landscape companies and a host of other professional and nonprofessional organizations and personnel.
