Eastern White Pine (Pinus strobus)

Native to Ohio. Has long, soft dark green needles. Very fast grower; up to 3-4 ft height per year. Used for windbreaks, screenings or ornamental tree. Will tolerate moist, but not wet soils. Will tolerate some shade. Avoid planting where highway salts and pollution may occur. Susceptible to White Pine weevil. Grows up to 50’ and 30’ spread.
